Developing large-scale projects
Charleroi Métropole is in the process of majorly expanding and is seeing innovative regeneration at the level of urban infrastructures (tour de Police, Palais des expositions, Centre de Congrès, Quai 10,…) and in public transport and even in tourist and cultural attractions. In this regard, Charleroi Métropole is developing a synergy between a ll of the region’s boroughs.
Charleroi Métropole has also become a real healthcare hub internationally recognised thanks to several institutions of international renown, such as the Grand Hôpital de Charleroi, the Centre Hospitalier Universitaire de Charleroi, the Centre de santé des fagnes (Chimay) or the Clinique Notre Dame de Grâce de Charleroi. A large number of investments, both public and private, have enabled the recreation, primarily in Charleroi, of an urban centre which attracts visitors from all over Belgium and from abroad.
